This Spring Semester, join the Office of Religious Life for a reading group exploring the themes of ethics, communal responsibility, kinship, and eco-spirituality. The Reading Group will meet on select Fridays throughout the semester at 11 am in Earl Hall. Lunch will be provided.

The group will read the science fiction short story "The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas" by Ursula K. Le Guin, followed by selections from Robin Wall Kimmerer's best-selling book Braiding Sweetgrass: Indigenous Wisdom, Scientific Knowledge, and the Teachings of Plants.

The first meeting will be held on Friday, March 4th, during which we'll discuss "The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas" and hand out a copy of Braiding Sweetgrass. With your RSVP, you will receive a PDF copy of "The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas" and we will order you a free copy of Braiding Sweetgrass.

We look forward to having you join us!
