The Office of Religious Life extends well-wishes, best hopes, and sincere prayers to our entire university community as we continue our spring semester in the context of COVID-19. For many of us, times of challenge and distress can draw us closer to our spiritual communities and practices. One of the particular challenges of this pandemic relates to the fact that it creates physical spaces between us, disrupting many of our collective practices and rhythms.

In response to this challenge, we have put together a list of online resources that seek to bridge this geographical divide. Our virtual resources pages includes daily and weekly gatherings for prayer, worship, meditation, study, and reflection from across our many traditions. As with all Religious Life programming, members of the university community are always welcome to join any of the virtual gatherings at any time. As disorienting as these days may be, we hope to be able to find solace and endurance in community, together.

Our office also remains available for spiritual counseling by phone and by Zoom conferencing for all students and affiliates. You may call any time to make an appointment: (212) 854-2184.

Be Well,

Rev. Dr. Ian Rottenberg
Dean of Religious Life
